Holy Mackeral Batman what a week! We finally got power Wednesday night so that is awesome, of course like most of you, we have trees broken down everywhere in the neighborhood and it’s a disaster but many others were hit far worse. I just want to get past this hurricane and get the election over with so I can stop throwing millions of post cards and junk mail away… 😹

NEWS BITES
Alton Brown, the Food Network star, is bringing what may be his final tour to Tampa with "Alton Brown Live: The Last Bite." The show is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at Morsani Hall in the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

Fans can expect Brown's trademark blend of quirky food facts, humor, and a bit of history. There might even be some singing, and you can count on things getting a bit messy — past shows have even featured rain ponchos for the audience!

Brown first made a splash in the food world in 1999 with his offbeat show "Good Eats," a mix of science, cooking, and comedy often described as a mashup of Julia Child, Mister Wizard, and Monty Python. He’s also been a fixture on TV as the host of "Cutthroat Kitchen” and “Iron Chef America.”
